Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the automotive industry. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be tasked with managing vendor invoices, follow-ups, and collections. Eventually, your responsibilities may expand to include Accounts Payable work and other administrative duties.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts receivable

• Handle vendor invoices and follow-ups

• Perform collections tasks as needed

• Potentially expand role to include accounts payable duties

• Perform administrative tasks as required

• Utilize Quickbooks Online for accounting tasks

• Reconcile accounts as needed

• Apply cash applications and commercial collections when necessary

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Transition into more of a bookkeeper role over time if applicable Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing procedures

• Knowledge of Cash Applications processes

• Experience with Cash Collections

• Understanding of Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Familiarity with Quickbooks Online

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
