System One is hiring a Utility Maintenance Technician for our client in Birdsboro, PA. This is a direct-hire, day shift opportunity, Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm, with some OT.

Position: Utility Maintenance Technician

Location: Birdsboro, PA

Position Type: Full time, Direct Hire

Position Summary: Coordinate maintenance activities for machinery and building repairs, including preventative maintenance.

Essential Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, air compressors, HVAC, and ventilation systems.

• Respond promptly to maintenance calls.

• Repair machinery, support equipment, plumbing, and general building needs.

• Ensure electrical work complies with industrial codes.

• Operate and service fire protection systems, including regular checks.

• Perform handwork and assembly tasks as needed.

• Maintain parking areas and building exterior (e.g., debris, snow, gutter cleaning).

• Assist with parts and supplies delivery.

• Collect and remove chips and refuse.

• Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety rules.

• Regular attendance and ability to work overtime up to 10-hour shifts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

• 2-4 years of maintenance experience preferred, including machine shop tools (e.g., welding, saws, drill press).

• Independent problem solver with a proactive mindset for increasing productivity.

• Proficient with hand and power tools, able to lift up to 40-50 lbs, and climb ladders occasionally.

• Effective communication with all levels of the organization.

• Occasional travel to vendor and customer sites.

• Good vision required for various tasks.
