About the Opportunity

Join our dynamic Decommissioning and Regeneration Solutions team at Jacobs in Birchwood, Warrington, as a Business Process Engineer. This role is crucial to support our expanding portfolio, specifically focusing on enhancing business processes within our client projects in the nuclear decommissioning and other growth sectors.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of operational excellence, working directly with internal and external customers to analyse, redesign, and optimize business processes. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, driving innovation and precision in a field that requires the utmost in robust process management.

Being part of the Decommissioning and Regeneration Solutions business offers a unique opportunity to cultivate change and creativity in digital disruption, plant ownership, engineering, safety and delivery solutions across some of the most complex industrial sites in the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and redesign of business processes for customer projects in the nuclear decommissioning and other growth sectors, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and improved workflow.

  • Work closely with internal and external customer teams and stakeholders to understand specific process challenges and develop tailored solutions.

  • Implement and advocate for best practices in business process engineering, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and client standards.

  • Drive the integration of innovative technologies and methodologies into internal and external customer business processes.

  • Initiate and manage continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities for operational enhancement.

  • Develop training and implementation programs for customers, facilitating smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.

  • Oversee cross-functional project teams, focusing on client-centric innovation, strategy alignment, and operational model development.

  • Regularly monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance and impact of business process improvements within client projects.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • In-depth knowledge and experience of business process engineering and optimization, particularly within the nuclear decommissioning sector or similar regulated industries.

  • Proficiency in understanding and applying digital transformation strategies to client business processes.

  • Experience in the implementation and management of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or similar operational platforms in client settings.

  • A collaborative and enthusiastic approach to working on complex challenges within diverse teams, often in client-facing environments.

  • Demonstrated success in leading significant process change initiatives in dynamic and client-focused environments.

  • Strong skills in strategic planning, managing workforce transitions, and developing complex proposals in client contexts.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation abilities.
