Innovation Associates, Inc. Software Development Engineering Intern in Binghamton, New York

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate for technology, self-motivated and creative Software Development Engineering Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will be working on our next-gen pharmacy fulfillment solutions. The Software Development Engineering Intern will participate in the entire software development lifecycle - analyze the business requirements, design, test, and develop software solutions for our Central Fill Pharmacy application. You will be working closely with Sr. Engineers in cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. As an engineering team member, the intern will learn how to employ industry best-practices in design, coding, and product delivery.

The iA Intern Program is from Tuesday May 27, 2025 to Friday August 1, 2025.

What you’ll do:

  • Based on design documents and under Sr. Software Engineers guidance, implement components of software systems.

  • Participate and contribute to team’s daily meetings.

  • Follow senior engineer(s) directions to learn and apply best industry practices in design and implementation.

  • Under supervision implement and troubleshoot

  • Learn and apply best practices and patterns.

  • Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs.

  • Maintain the security of the company data and applications using security best practices.

  • Participate in creating strong technical documentation of proposed and implemented solutions.

    Who you are:

  • Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar fields

  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C#, Java, C++,

  • Some classes on object-oriented design.

  • In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithm.

    It would be great if you also have:

  • C#/ VB.NET programming experience

  • Experience/an interest in working with hardware such as robotics and cameras.

    Compensation:

    The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour, though a candidate's hourly rate shall be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
