Job Title: TIG/MIG Welder

Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an experienced TIG/MIG welder. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques during the assembly process of diversified metal assemblies according to customer drawing specifications and work order instructions. You will also participate in new product introductions, suggesting new approaches and techniques for continuous improvement in both production and quality. Routine welding machine maintenance is also a part of the job responsibilities. You will ensure safety measures are adhered to avoid any potential damage to oneself, others, or production. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential.

Shift

2nd shift - 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Pay

$20 - $25/hr

Hard Skills

  • MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques

  • Welding machine maintenance

  • Experience with new build welds and repair welds

Soft Skills

  • Self-inspection

  • Ability to meet objectives with limited to no supervision

  • Participation in new product introduction

  • Suggesting new approaches and techniques for continued improvement in production and quality

  • Workplace cleanliness

  • Safety consciousness

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 800 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Binghamton, New York.

Work Environment

This position will be based in a manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, machinery, and related noise levels. The role primarily involves standing for up to six (6) plus hours per day with some duties requiring sitting for short periods of time. The role requires lifting capabilities of 0-50lbs in the proper ergonomic position.
