Do you want to play an instrumental role in crafting and delivering Category management for the Licensing & Extended Line business within one of the most loved kids brands in the world?

As Senior Category Manager, you will be the commercial driver in helping our

team to develop a new licensing portfolio for our global wholesale customers and LEGOLAND ® P arks !

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaboratewith buying counterparts to understand their needs when it comes to categories and price points and make sure these insights are communicated to the LEGO Group organization

  • Together with Portfolio and Account managers, form close relationshipswith key brand and licensing partners to ensure the commercial success and competitiveness of our licensing portfolio frominitialplanning to launch

  • Define and lead the procurement process with our licensing partners and ensure that procurement contracts are compliant to LEGOGroup’s legal framework

  • Build and manage supplier/brand relationships to maximize the financial profitability through selection expansion opportunities

  • Follow up on sales performance reporting key figures and put actions in place that allow us to mitigate challenges and leverage opportunities

Please note that this role is based in Billund (DK), and there is no relocation assistance offered for this role. Expected travel activity is 10- 20 days annually.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Substantial validated experienceinaBuying, CategoryManagement or Merchandising function -preferably in a global role -plus profoundunderstanding of the licensing business industry,seasonalityandbusiness trends/events

  • Motivatedby delivering commercial results and have developed an in-depthunderstanding of the price architecture and margins in a licensing/FMCG environment

  • Excellentpartnermanagement skills that allow you to navigateeffectively within a matrix organization

  • Amazingproject management skills being able to prioritize, meet deadlinesand stay on top of multiple workstreams

  • Solid analytical skills thatallowyou to understand commercialperformance andidentifytrends,challengesand opportunities

  • Ateam-player who is keen to address challenges in partnership with keystakeholders and deliver solutions that take different viewpoints into consideration

  • Effective communication and presentation skills(proficient level of English-spoken and written)
