Core Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Developing and improving our materials testing methods, covering the fields of coatings, powders (used for additive manufacturing), microscopy, and artificial ageing,
Understanding the needs of the organisation and converting these into testing capabilities of the Materials Laboratory,
Applying scientific and industrial knowledge to ensure the correct analysis methods are used,
Ensuring the whole testing flow, from sample preparation to data storage,
Transforming test data into knowledge by applying the scientific method and data analysis/visualisation,
Planning, executing, and documenting test method validation,
Scouting for and purchasing new test equipment,

In this specialist role, you will be a part of a team of 5 colleagues who have a broad range of skills and capabilities placed in the Material Department. The aim of the Materials department is to maintain a safe, high quality and sustainable material platform for LEGO® products, to enable business needs and empower the organisation to use materials to its full potential.

Do you have what it takes?
We are looking for someone that has:
A good knowledge of plastics and polymers, coating, and materials science (or related subject areas),
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with characterising of polymers and/or coatings,
Skill and experience with contributing to multiple technical projects running at the same time,
An ability to communicate technical knowledge with cross-functional teams,
A capability of exploring and implementing new tools, technologies, and processes to improve operational excellence,
Proficiency and experience with statistically analysing test data,
