SUMMARY

The HL Investor Reporting Specialist I, performs servicing duties as they relate to the accurate accounting, settlement, administration, and maintenance of investor related transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.

  • Process fundings for loans purchased daily by investors.
  • Run daily and monthly investor fees related to investor purchase funding.
  • Prepares and reviews monthly investor reports and remittances along with related cash movements and accounting entries in accordance with agreements.
  • Ensures that remittance wires are completed accurately and within required timelines.
  • Researches and resolves data issues.
  • Facilitates remittance-related & Purchase Funding related GL journal entries and custodial account entries as well as resolves GL and bank-related reconciliation items.
  • Maintains and enhances controls within the monthly process.
  • Assists with internal and external audits.
  • Analyze work product and provide continuous improvement to existing processes.
  • Perform 7 R's (Reporting, Remitting, Reconciliation, Research, Root Cause Identification, Resolution, and Remediation) as pertaining to your role and loan-level activities as applicable per Investor guidelines.
  • Solid reconciliation/accounting skills, great communication skills, and research skills with an ability to problem solve and adapt to change are a must have.
  • Attention to detail is a must have.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are a must have.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft Excel related training a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
