ManpowerGroup Assistant Building Engineer in Billings, Montana

Job Title: Assistant Building Engineer

Duration : 6+ months contract (2pm-12:30am it is a 2nd shift- Wednesday - Saturday)

Location: Billings, MT

Payrate: $24/hr.

We are looking for an Assistant Building Engineer to join one of our Fortune 500 Real Estate clients.

Responsiblities

  • Utilizes several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.

  • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.

  • Maintains all equipment as required per preventive maintenance programs prescribed by manufacturer's specifications.

  • Performs housekeeping functions and maintains the professional appearances of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and common areas.

  • Maintains an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.

  • Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

  • Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.

  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.

  • Completes maintenance and repair records as required. Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.

  • Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.

Must Have Skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years experience

Nice to have skills:

  • HVAC

Interview process:

1st Round: pre-screen over the phone

2nd Round: 2 other people for 45 minutes each
