Manufacturing Technician
Billerica, MA
Pay Rate: $23/hr
Schedule: 8am-5pm M-F
What’s a typical day as a Manufacturing Technician? You’ll be:
• Performing mechanical and electrical assembly tasks using hand or power tools to produce assemblies or sub-assemblies for semiconductor capital equipment.
• Working under limited supervision within a clean-room environment, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and mechanical/electrical schematics as a member of a production cell.
• Troubleshooting problems and making necessary adjustments to equipment setups.
• Conducting functional testing and in-process visual inspection of parts, sub-assemblies, and instruments following test protocols.
• Maintaining required records of production and reporting any inconsistencies or equipment issues following standard procedures.
• Adhering to Quality Management System and ISO9001 requirements.
• Adhering to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and other environmental, health, and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations.
• Supporting various engineering development and lab maintenance activities as required.
• Participating in daily team stand-up meetings to share daily challenges and/or ideas.
• Participating in improvement events, such as Kaizen, 5S, or Practical Process Improvements.
• Training and mentoring new or less-experienced technicians.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in a technical discipline preferred).
• Have 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with capital equipment and/or complex electromechanical systems.
• Have prior experience working with semiconductor equipment (highly preferred).
• Have expertise in the use of hand and power tools.
• Can read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, assembly drawings, fabricated parts drawings, P&ID diagrams, etc.
• Are proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer systems and platforms.
• Can work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
• Are fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Have good manual dexterity and the ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. unassisted.
