Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Summary:

This position maintains liquid meters, pneumatic/hydraulic composite samplers, flow computers, valves and valve operators, piston type provers, sphere type provers, and performs calibrations and inspections of all instrumentation related to quality and quantity determination in a manner to meet operational needs in compliance with partnership and regulatory requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate facilities in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.

  • Perform density verifications using a Pycnometer and/or Hydrometer.

  • Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination.

  • Witness meter performance verifications (Proving’s) as performed by third party contractors, as needed.

  • Maintain and operate custody transfer measurement facilities including tank gauging in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures.

  • Maintain, operate, troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment, including; meters, samplers, flow computers and other peripheral measurement-related devices.

  • Install instrumentation and equipment in new and renovated measurement and/or regulation facilities.

  • Understand system gain/loss processes, ticket writing, etc.

  • Collect product quality samples for Crude in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines.

  • Actively participate in partnership safety program and initiatives

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

  • Minimum 0 - 6-Month’s service or 1-year relevant industry experience.

  • Level 1 requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

  • Level 2 requires a minimum of 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

  • Level 3 requires a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

  • Level 4 requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API, GPA and OQ’s requirements and procedures or be trained qualifications.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication skills to interface with our customer base.

  • Must be able to work overtime as assigned and respond to emergency response activities as needed.

  • Must be self-reliant, dependable, and able to maintain harmonious working relations with co-workers.

  • Must write legibly, maintain neat appearance, be accurate in math, and maintain a good safety attitude and record.

  • The ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor in a safe manner.

  • Must be able to perform heavy physical work, and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.

  • A good knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools and operate with them in a safe manner.

  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of residence to operate various classes of equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.

  • Some college or technical trade school is preferred for a Level 4.

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.

  • Driving, walking, standing frequently.

  • Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy liftingVisits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Occasional call out’s or overnight travel may be required.
