Assists Clinical Director with recruitment efforts, manages contracts for external physicians serving as MOD. Working with QM Director and Clinical Director to develop curriculum and provide medical staff orientation and training, drafting hospital policies, procedures, and administrative documents, assisting with data base entries, working with individual departments to ensure standards compliance, and assisting with maintaining the organization of the hospital performance improvement initiatives. Position will require flexible hours, as needed, to provide or coordinate physician orientation and training, e.g., evening, weekend hours based on identified need.Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.1. Provides clerical and automation support for Clinical Director and Professional Medical Staff and coordinates training. a) Assists Clinical Director in physician recruitment, developing physician job descriptions and completing performance evaluations b)Schedules and/or provides physician training for FTEand#146;s and contract MODs c) Maintains required logs for contract MOD payments d) Provides on-site after-hours training to accommodate MOD schedule e)Develops or ensures current curriculum for physician training f) Maintains current staff privileging files and credentialing processes including appointment/reappointment processes, monitoring for physician licenses, renewals, NPDB verification, etc. g)Serves as contract manager for external physicians serving as MOD and locum tenens h) Coordinates MOD scheduling, and maintains MOD calendar i) Coordinates billing for weekend MOD j) Provides on-site after-hours training to accommodate MOD schedule k) Develops or ensures current curriculum for physician training2. Serves as coordinator and recorder for Med Staff Committee. a) Organizes meetings, prepares agendas and prepares data for Performance Improvement Initiatives quarterly reviews. b) Finalizes and maintains on file the approved automated and/or hard copies for c) MS Bylaws d) Physician Daily Report e) MOD List f) Clinical Director Directives3.
