Summary of Position:
The Social and Behavioral Sciences Department in the College of Arts, Sciences and Education seeks applicants to provide instruction for a variety of face-to-face and online Sociology courses on the Big Rapids campus. The courses may include Introductory Sociology, Social Problems, Marriage and Family, Social Stratification, Race and Ethnicity in the US, World Urban Sociology, and/or other upper-level sociology courses, as determined by the qualifications of the instructor and the needs of the department. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on Ferris State University's Big Rapids campus and potentially online. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date will be August 2025 or January 2026, based on department needs.
