Job Description

Avio Aero is the leading company in the aeronautic business sector for the design, manufacturing and maintenance of components and systems for civil and military aero engines. At the Avio Aero plant in Bielsko-Biała we manufacture low pressure turbine components designed in our Engineering Center. We also design, develop and support entire lifecycle of many other components, sub-systems and modules of aeroengines, including accessory and power gearboxes, rotating parts and structures. Our products are installed in the engines used in most well-known types of aircrafts, such as: Boeing 777, 737, 747-8, 787 Dreamliner, Airbus A320, Textron 220, Comac C919 and exploited in the most key airlines like Qatar, American Airlines, Emirates, Brithis Airways, AirFrance, United Airlines, Japan Airlines, LOT, Lufthansa, Cargolux or NCA.

Essential Responsibilities:

Support design of aviation engine components (Low Pressure Turbine Nozzles and rotor, engine structures) by Finite Element Analysis FEM and CAD tools (NX)

FEM modeling (mesh, BC’s and Loads application) of engine components – Ansys, Hyper Mesh

Perform structural FEM analysis aimed to meet life and dynamic requirements – Ansys

Post processing of analysis and results interpretation

Results presentation and reporting to Hardware Owners and Technical Community

Support design changes - CAD modelling and drawing drafting

Support substantiation of manufacturing quality notifications in production and quality systems

Document technical data in reports and dedicated repositories

Qualifications/Requirements :

Undergraduate (year 3/4) of Aeronautics, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering departments.

Good English communication

Good knowledge and practice of MS Office (Excel, Power Point)

Self-motivation, open for new challenges and learning, team player

Desired Characteristics:

Strong motivation in technical career growth

Basic understanding of engine gas turbine principles

Fundamental knowledge of mechanical components principles (material durability, static, dynamic)

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and material application in aviation industry

Basic knowledge about Finite Element Method with skills in Ansys or Hyper Mesh

Basic knowledge of 2d/3d modelling (Unigraphics)

Fundamental skills on drawings and technical documentation
