The Position

Tasks & responsibilities
In your new role you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge cellular models for in vitro toxicology, with a special emphasis on ocular studies.
You will be driving internal and external collaborations to push the models to be integrated to the drug-development process.
Moreover, you will focus on both human models and models of preclinical species.
You will take responsibility for validating these models using various readout technologies, including High Content Imaging, as well as molecular biological and biochemical assays.
Furthermore, you will conduct literature searches, perform in-depth analysis of your results, and maintain an open-minded perspective to successfully accomplish these tasks.
Additionally, you will be presenting and discussing your results on scientific conferences as well as within internal and external collaborations.
Requirements
PhD with strong background in molecular and cell biology or toxicology
Several year experiences with complex cellular models and High Content Analysis, including publications
Sound knowledge in the physiology of the eye, including hands-on experience on in vitro or ex vivo models
Very good oral communication skills as well as scientific writing and documentation competencies
High degree of responsibility, reliability, autonomy and team orientation
Fluency in written and spoken English
