The Position

Work at the forefront of biopharmaceutical science! Join our team as a Postdoc in Structural Biology, where you'll engage in the development and evaluation of structure determination approaches for crucial human proteins.

You'll handle the design of expression constructs, the screening of expression and purification conditions, and utilize cutting-edge techniques for 3D structure determination. Tasks & responsibilities

• In your new role you will develop and evaluate approaches for the structure determination of medically highly relevant human proteins.

• You will be responsible for designing expression constructs and screening expression- and purification conditions.

• Moreover, you will use biophysical methods for protein characterization, including small-molecule binding.

• You will determine 3D structures using state-of-the-art techniques like for example X-ray or cryo-EM.

• Furthermore, you will take the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the field, present your results at internal and external meetings and publish in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

• PhD in Structural Biology, Biochemistry or a related field

• Expert knowledge in Structural Biology; cryo-EM expertise is a plus

• Expertise in molecular biology as well as in working with protein expression in insect- or mammalian cell systems

• Skills in the purification and characterization of Integral Membrane Protein (IMPs) is a plus

• Excellent interpersonal skills paired with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders both internally and externally

• Fluency in English written and spoken
