This is an exciting time to join our recently rebranded Delta Hotels by Marriott Bexleyheath, part of Marriott Bonvoys portfolio of 30 extraordinary hotel brands, creating a seamless travel experience in more than 90 locations across North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and Central America and Caribbean.

The Maintenance Team Member is responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities as requested throughout the hotel, planned preventative maintenance schedules, and the undertaking of designated health & safety duties across the hotel.

Our ideal candidate doesn’t have to be fully rounded or specialist in all thing’s buildings, but they are expected to have the necessary knowledge and skills to be agile and effective in their approach to work, and to of course be comfortable working in a 4* environment either alone or with other engineering colleagues.

You must be keen learn, develop, and grow, but also share your experiences for the benefit of the engineering team and assist in all other general engineering tasks, as directed by management.

The role operates on a rota at the moment 5 days from 7.

General requirements

You will be responsible for carrying out any repair or rectifying any maintenance issues throughout the hotel as and when they arise

You will respond to and attend to guest repair requests

You will perform preventative maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical equipment

You will be an excellent communicator and build excellent relationships with departments across the hotel

Report on any new or developing engineering works that need to be addressed to the Engineering Manager

Assist with maintaining the physical appearance and operational efficiency of the hotel including physical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc

Assist with energy saving and green initiatives within the hotel

Assist with inventory organisation and ordering

Requirements:

A gift for paying attention to the smallest details

Experience in a similar role

A plumbing or electrical qualification is an advantage but not compulsory
