Job Title: Welder - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced welder to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work station. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates from technical schools to gain valuable experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding to fabricate parts

• Grind parts to clean up weld metal

• Read blueprints accurately

• Use calipers and micrometers to measure Auger Flyte

• Maintain a clean and organized work station

• Assist in prepping bays with helpers

Essential Skills

• MIG welding experience

• Ability to read blueprints

• Understanding of weld symbols

• Welding certificate from High School or Technical School

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding is a plus

• Strong fabrication skills

Work Environment

The work environment includes a weld shop with up to 20 welders. The 1st shift runs from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Training lasts for 1-2 weeks, primarily on the 1st shift with a manager. After training, welders will work independently with periodic check-ins. The dress code includes jeans without holes, boots, and a t-shirt. Dress warmly in the winter as the shop can get cold with doors opening. A weld helmet is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
