Job Details The Dietary Supervisor will oversee and instruct employees who prepare and serve meals to patients and employees. This includes monitoring and instructing the team in maintaining the high standards of sanitation and safety as well as in the operation and care of kitchen equipment. Responsibilities of the Dietary Supervisor include: Complies with hospitality rules of the hospital. Understands patient confidentiality and rights. Follows safe food handling practices and ensures food safe temperatures. Familiar with regular and special diets and dietary requirements of the diets. Check the accuracy of patient trays on tray line during meal service. Check food items for dates on any open containers in refrigerators. Possess knowledge of all employee position in kitchen and cafeteria. Prepare kitchen and cafeteria employees schedule. Direct shift to insure proper patient service. Requirements for the Dietary Supervisor role include: High School education or equivalent. Prior food service experience preferred Prior leadership experience preferred Salary Range USD $25.00 - USD $27.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
