Responsibilities Position Summary: Responsibilities: Essential Duties * Make informed pricing recommendations based on data, value, market, customer, and competitive knowledge utilizing Pricing and Business Intelligence Systems * Manage deals from beginning to final approval starting with working with Marketing Directors on the best recommendation for the specific customer segment/profile * Monitor price-volume-margin tradeoffs of deals and provide recommendations to management * Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters * Proactively highlight and act upon price and margin improvement opportunities utilizing, pocket price waterfall, price/volume/mix and other analytics * Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing pricing project * Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system * Support the development and refinement of tools, policies, and procedures that enhance existing performance * Assists team in determining optimized customer and product pricing using Value-Based Pricing methodologies and tools such as Economic Value Estimation or Perceived Value Map * Works to develop a good understanding of the Core product portfolio, differentiated value, messaging, competitive landscape and market strategies. * Perform analysis and prepare executive-level reports of findings and dashboards. * Provides insights and analytics regarding sales, pricing, and market data to Senior Leadership within Marketing and Sales * Acts as liaison to other functional areas as it relates to RFP, Bids and new business opportunities. Create strong interdepartmental links, relationships, and communication channels through bid processes by ensuring stakeholder buy-in and deal optimization. Manage entire Bid process from deal conceptualization to contracting phase * Take active role in pricing and terms decisions of contracts. Provides feedback regarding proposals based on customer demographics and other external factors and data in pricing systems; demonstrate ability in assisting Marketing & Sales Leadership in closing new business and securing contract renewals. * Support revenue and operating profit goals through price attainment. Proactively leverage business analytics data visualization, data management and aggregation in order to seek out price and margin improvement opportunities * Present pricing insights in a logical format and able to confidently explain data, findings, and recommendations in a public speaking setting The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall al o include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager from time to time.
