Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the shipment process of materials and goods from vendors to the end customer. As a member of our team, you will be in charge of managing various types of shipments and facilitating effective communication among shippers, carriers, and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Handling shipments daily with carriers and shippers for timely and correct delivery.

• Looking after relationships with shippers, carriers, and customers

• Handling day-to-day shipping operations as needed

• Regularly reporting on important performance figures to improve the delivery process

• Keeping an eye on shipping costs and efficiency

• Working well with team members and management

• Checking shipping paperwork for accuracy and fixing any mistakes

• Making sure all services meet company quality standards

• Creating ways to make the shipping process more efficient

• Organizing staff training on how to use machinery and handle risky materials.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Two years of previous logistics or traffic management experience in a manufacturing environment

• Thorough knowledge of logistics/ manufacturing principles and ideologies,

• Experience with international shipments of hazardous material

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Familiarity with logistics software and safety practices

• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or Macola) is preferred.

• Occasional international travel will be required for a short time, a valid passport is required.
