Position Objective: Provide services as a Scientific Program Manager in support of the overall functions of the Division of Clinical Research (DCR), Office of Biostatistics Research (OBR) within the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance for work of the SEAL trial which is comparing different treatments for atopic dermatitis for prevention of the development of allergies. Suggest a statistically appropriate method of analysis for this ongoing trial.

• Provide assistance and guidance to senior level management on creating a template for tracking staff promotion and development.

• Provide recommendations to OBR leadership for decisions / actions related to the management of statistician assigned to the Division of Allergy Immunology and Transplantation (DAIT). Assist with the development and implementation of processes for oversight and leveraging existing relationships and institutional experience whenever possible and appropriate.

• Assist with the development and implementation of the strategy for coordination of the relationship between the Biostatistics Research Branch and the Clinical Trials Research Branch in concordance with NIAID OBR leadership.

• Liaise with the Food and Drug Administration on licensure focused clinical trials sponsored by DAIT.

• Provide assistance and guidance to lead statisticians for the: Allergy, Asthma, and Airway Biology Branch (AAABB), a three arm trial for atopic dermatitis for the prevention of allergies and for the Laboratory of Allergic Diseases (LAD).

• Participate, as needed, in Reverse Site Visits for DAIT where potential grantees seek advice on clinical trial design and analysis issues.

• Provide support services to DCR/OBR for manuscript and abstract development and approval.

  Basic Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in a related field is required.

• Minimum 15 years experience with NIH

• Minimum 10 year of demonstrated article, abstract and manuscript publication

  Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff.

• Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
