The Provider Services & Operations Manager for the District of Columbia Health Plan has accountability for managing and coordinating functions that impact our providers, such as provider communications, mailbox management, project management, issue resolution and reporting & audits.
If you are located in or near the District of Columbia, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office (2-3 days a week) as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provider Services: Providing end-to-end oversight & management of the relationships with our core providers (HCBS, FQHCs, etc.) through regular calls, meetings, town halls and mailboxes to meet their needs, provide education and resolve issues through proactive problem solving
Provider-related Operations: Project managing and coordinating provider-related operational functions such as provider experience improvement initiatives, encounters issues, site visits, new business initiatives, appeals & grievances, etc. This will require ability to coordinate with different stakeholder groups in the enterprise to drive progress on workstreams and resolve issues
Provider-related Reporting and Adherence: Developing, monitoring and assessing reporting and other District-required deliverables, as well as identifying and resolving any areas of improvement

Required Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in provider service or in a customer-facing role
2+ years of experience with HCBS / LTSS programs
2+ years of experience with D-SNP, Medicaid and/or Medicare programs
1+ years of experience in managing projects and/or programs
1+ years of experience in managing, developing and/or coordinating reports or records
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Excel
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS PowerPoint and Word
Ability to work hybrid in the Washington, DC office 2-3 days per week
Resides in the District of Columbia or in commuting distance
Ability to travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with District of Columbia agencies and/or government partners
Demonstrated ability to have attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbally and written) effectively with different levels of leadership
Demonstrated ability to proactively problem-solve and navigate in a fast-paced, changing environment
The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
