Job Summary :

Providing PA services in our Operating Room, which features 11 fully equiped surgical rooms, including two open heart suites, a cystoscopy suite, and a dedicated ophthalmology suite. Provides surgical services to patients under the direction and responsibility of the attending physicians and the Clinical Director of the Department of Surgery.

  • Providing assistance in Ortho, Neuro, Spine, ENT, and all surgeries performed except for cardiac and OBGYN.

Skills:

General surgery

Certifications and Licensures:

Current Maryland State License from the Board of Physician Assistants

Certification by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants at time of hire or writhin one year of initial employment

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Central Venous Catherization and Placement of Chest Tubes reequires speicial Certification by Board of Physician Quality Assurance

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required

Sucessful completion of a training program, accredited by the American Medical Association for Physician Assistants
