Seeking candidates who are continuous learners, willing to understand complex accounting as it relates to foreign exchange activities. This role will engage in foreign exchange activities to include (1) executing foreign exchange contracts to hedge the corporation's exposure to movements in foreign exchange rates, (2) the tracking of and reporting on outstanding foreign exchange contracts and the related underlying exposures using foreign exchange trade capture and accounting software, and (3) calculating the accounting results for the foreign exchange transactions in accordance with and ensuring compliance with ASC 815, Accounting for Derivative Instruments and Hedging Activities.

In addition, the position will assist in the development of foreign exchange exposure mitigation strategies and the education of business units in foreign currency exposure recognition and hedging basics.

Strategy development will include developing excel based financial models to incorporate foreign exchange forward points and foreign exchange spot and forward point volatility risk into corporate contract pricing.

The position will also support the documentation, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls for all job functions in compliance with SOX.

Basic Qualifications:

- CPA and/or MBA with financial orientation

- Demonstrated experience in accounting

- Effective analytical skills

- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - skills necessary are formulas, pivot tables, import/export, charts, tables, modeling

Desired Skills:

- Demonstrated experience with financial software packages and reporting tools (Crystal reports or Tableau preferred)

- Demonstrated accounting experience and or treasury experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
