The FLEX Senior Manager, Digital Product Intelligence supports a team dedicated to delivering actionable insights that drive business growth and elevate customer experiences across Marriott’s global digital platforms, including mobile apps, marriott.com, brand sites, hotel websites, and onsite touchpoints (e.g., mobile key, in-room television, chat). This role focuses on optimizing e-commerce conversion funnels and improving digital experiences, products, and features through testing and continuous improvement across the entire customer journey—from inspiration through the guest experience. The ideal candidate is a quick learner who is resourceful and eager to make an impact, with strong ownership and the ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment, managing evolving challenges, ambiguity, and minimal supervision effectively. You thrive on collaboration, skillfully bridging business requirements with the necessary insights and analytics to help the business achieve its goals.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience Required
4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Math, or other quantitative discipline
5+ years of digital, product, or e-commerce experience demonstrating career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance
Hands-on experience with digital analytics tools, including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and others, demonstrating an understanding of digital data analysis and its practical applications
Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to design and optimize queries and manage datasets effectively
Experience with Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or other similar data visualization and business intelligence tools
Strong data analysis skills and experience, including querying and manipulation of large datasets, structuring analysis, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and applying statistical analysis techniques
Excellent project management and communication skills, especially in managing processes and delivering technical analysis across diverse stakeholders
Education and Experience Preferred
People management experience
Knowledge of Python, R, SAS, or other statistical modeling tools
Experience designing and analyzing marketing or digital experimentation (A/B or MVT)
Understanding of statistical methods with regards to study design and analysis
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Develops a consultative relationship with key business decision-makers, including product managers, to influence the creation of new product features and make data-driven recommendations
Partners with product and analytics implementation teams to ensure relevant data capture; collaborates with data engineering teams to build appropriate datasets for streamlined analysis, automation, and reporting
Supports the end-to-end process of big data exploration, including hypothesis creation, algorithm design, data cleansing, testing, insight generation, visualization, and actionable recommendations
Conducts analysis and provides insights to drive growth and innovation, guiding product investments and roadmaps with a focus on boosting customer lifetime value, enhancing loyalty, optimizing conversion funnels, improving the customer experience, and achieving key business outcomes
Delivers value by integrating and analyzing various data types, including click-stream, transactional, attitudinal, operational, marketing, loyalty membership, and user engagement data, to provide comprehensive insights into digital product performance and user behavior
Utilizes advanced analytics tools to uncover opportunities across our e-commerce sites and apps, analyzes underlying drivers, and develops hypotheses that guide actionable planning in collaboration with partners
Translates complex data into compelling narratives that drive decision-making, using persuasive storytelling skills to clearly communicate insights and influence key stakeholders
Demonstrates exceptional problem-solving, strategic thinking, and analytical skills, leveraging data-driven insights to drive change, tackle challenges, inspire adoption, and identify opportunities in alignment with broader business objectives
Demonstrates strong judgment in uncertain situations, knowing when to dig deeper into analysis while balancing quick decisions with data-driven insights
Analyzes customer needs and behaviors, with a continual curiosity to uncover new trends and insights in digital travel products, aiming to enhance user satisfaction and drive innovative solutions
Serves as a trusted partner by deepening our understanding of customers, products, and business operations through data-driven insights that guide digital strategy, initiatives, and decision-making
Works on projects that cross multiple digital product domains and has the ability to generate holistic insights
Supports additional projects and provides team support as necessary
The pay range for this position is $48.70 to $74.95 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
