PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a team member at our government client site, located at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, MD, involved in supporting the US Navy’s Underwater Electromagnetic (UEM) Signatures Silencing and full-scale trials program. Other duties include, but not limited to:
Navy Surface Ships and Submarine signatures measurement systems and fleet support
Magnetic Silencing systems hardware
Underwater sensor build and test
The applicant will participate and contribute to the team electronics technician support for UW measurement and on-board systems
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
8+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician
Formal electronics technician training
Experience with UW magnetic silencing
Experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in analog & digital electronics
Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, DVM, function generators, etc.
Experience with underwater data measurements
Ability to troubleshoot electronics circuits
Proficient with Power Point, MS Word & Excel
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Some travel will be required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
