• The SPD Educator plans and develops appropriate training, utilizing behavioral objectives, lesson plans, and testing methodology in order to ensure that the organization's Sterile Processing department personnel receive the necessary education to perform their job duties. Coordinates QI activities. Service will be enhanced through collaboration, resource affiliation, and CQI mechanisms.
• Knowledgeable of and complies with International Association of Healthcare Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM), and applicable federal and state laws and the hospital Standards of Conduct.
• Complies with mandatory regulatory and credentialing requirements and participates in continuous improvement activities as assigned in an effort to ensure health care service quality.
-Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
-Minimum three years working in Sterile Processing as a CRCST.
-Previous experience as a Trainer preferred.
-Shift is 7a-3:30p Monday - Friday.
