Associate Scientist / Scientist - HEOR

Job Summary

Our Associate Scientist/Scientist HEOR is responsible for providing a strong scientific perspective and contributing to HEOR study design and methodology, data analysis and aggregation, outcomes interpretation, and other activities across our research groups (strategic market access, modeling and meta-analysis, patient-centered outcomes, and real-world evidence), focusing primarily on strategic market access and modeling and meta-analysis

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing clear and concise study protocols, analysis plans, and reports

  • Identifying and developing methodologies and strategies in partnership with project teams

  • Providing scientific direction for and/or directly conducting data analysis and aggregation, conducting systematic and targeted literature reviews, limited model and statistical programming

  • Managing client interactions and outreach to ensure exceptional client satisfaction.

  • Adhering to project budgets and timelines

  • Strategic Market Access: Designing, managing, and executing systematic and targeted literature reviews

  • Modeling and Meta-Analysis: Designing, managing, and executing meta-analyses and network meta-analyses; potentially also including budget impact models

  • Real-World Evidence/Patient-Centered Outcomes: Contributing to the execution of surveys and real-world studies using a variety of data sources

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • 1-5+ years of hands-on experience conducting RWE/HEOR studies, preferably in a consulting environment

  • PhD (preferred), PharmD, and/or Masters in health services research, pharmaceutical and health outcomes, public health, epidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, or a related field

  • Ability to handle multiple projects successfully with scientific rigor

  • Familiarization with the systematic and targeted review process, including database searches, study selection, data extraction, and reporting

  • (Preferred but not necessary) experience with MS Excel programming, including simple statistical models, budget impact models, and meta-analysis

  • Intellectual curiosity and independence to include the ability to self-start and self-teach

  • Proactivity, responsiveness, and the ability to balance shifting priorities to ensure that timelines and objectives are met and expectations are exceeded

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Able to forge and manage significant relationships within OPEN Health and with external stakeholders

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to prepare and present relevant summaries of complex materials

  • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Proficient in MS365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams

Travel Requirements

  • 10% potential global travel
