Rapid Cycle Solutionsis seeking a motivated senior level cloud developer with agile methodology experience to support our program as an AWS/UI Cloud Tools Developer

This cloud developer will be part of an Agile team building a cloud native user interface to integrate a collaborative tool, accessing multiple databases across multiple agencies. The team will be responsible for design, maintenance and accreditation of the cloud-based solutions. You will lead the team’s development efforts building on previous Sponsor’s work to develop accredit and deploy the next phase of this collaborative tool. As the development lead you will be responsible for working with the project management staff to facilitate the projects development. You will oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and be responsible for the training and mentoring less experienced development personnel. Duties include:

• Deep programming background in Java 8 utilizing Elastic Search 7.x – min 3+ years

• Experience in full implementation build, deployment and upgrade in Elastic Search

• DevOps pipeline utilizing Jenkins, Maven & GitHub (not a must but they should be familiar with this if they are programmers)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI w/FSP is required

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in an IT related field 8 years of related experience; or a Masters with 6 years of experience; an Associates with 10 years of experience.

• 3+ years of experience in the design, development and implementation of new software products or major enhancements to existing software in an agile environment

• Experience in an agile development environment working in a matrixed teams across multiple primes

• Experience refactoring legacy code and/or applications in a cloud native environment

• Demonstrated experience and understanding of server-less computing concepts

• 3+ years of experience with cloud migration solutions and hybrid cloud management solutions.

• Experience refactoring legacy code and/or applications in a cloud native environment

• Demonstrated experience developing new and enhancing existing UIs for Web applications

• Experience with Dojo and jQuery UI

• Demonstrated experience with programming languages and scripting methods including: Python, PHP, Java, Bash, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

• Demonstrated experience developing with Java, HTML5, middleware, Angular JS, Bootstrap and CSS

• Demonstrated experience using the Spring framework with Java.

• Demonstrated experience using an object-relational mapping framework in Java, such as Hibernate.

• Demonstrated experience developing highly available systems on Cloud infrastructure utilizing Linux and advanced bash scripts.

• Understanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements

• Knowledge of WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal

• Demonstrated experience creating, publishing and managing APIs and data ingestion points with external services.

• Demonstrated experience with programming languages and scripting methods including: C, C++, C#, Grails, and Perl

• Successful track record in providing technical leadership in delivering architecture, engineering, and operation services.

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience developing and integrating multiple data sources to provide customized Dashboards for senior management and government clients.

• Demonstrated on-the-job experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Framework, high availability, and enterprise infrastructure.

• Demonstrated integration experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL in a cloud native environment

• Demonstrated experience creating secure applications systems utilizing IC security guidelines and utilizing Customer Authentication and Authorization systems.

• Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, and maintaining the Information Technology Infrastructure associated with an IT system hosted in the C2S environment.

• Demonstrated experience reviewing and assessing impact of proposed scope changes to future architectures.

• Experience accrediting IT systems under the ICD 503 Certification and Accreditation Process.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Strong public speaking skills and professional demeanor required.

• Ability to create original documentation, to include Architectural and Process Flow Diagrams.

• Ability to oversee the efforts of direct reporting resources and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job; Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.

• Demonstrated development experience with AWS development using tools such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, Lambda, Lightsail, and S3 in a serverless C2S environment

• Demonstrated development experience in an AWS/C2S cloud environment

• Demonstrated experience in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and analysis

• Experience in the design and/or development of web-based notification systems

• Proficiency in the use of Linux on both the command line and in a graphical environment

• Experience with message-oriented middleware – queuing

• Demonstrated experience with build tools such as Maven, Ant; Source control Git; xUnit testing frameworks Junit; and Continuous Integration servers Jenkins.

• Demonstrated experience with AWS Cloud Formations

• Demonstrated experience with AWS ELB

• Demonstrated experience with Node services

• Demonstrated experience with AWS Tools: Squid, Puppet, Packer, Chef, Salt, etc.

• Solid understanding of work-flow based work streams

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

• Experience with enterprise-level deployments, to include customer governance, policy definitions, policy management and automation, and customer interfaces used to deliver integrated security solutions across multiple security domains is desired

• ITIL Foundation Certification

• AWS Developer Certification and/or AWS DevOps Certification

• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)

• VMware Certified Professional

• Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
