Philips Senior Supplier Engineering Manager IGT-S in Best, Netherlands

Senior Supplier Engineering Manager is a unique leadership opportunity to lead the multisite team in driving engineering activities, focusing on identifying, developing, and implementing supplier performance improvement strategies to deliver the best quality products and services to our customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Partner with and influence R&D, Procurement, and other functions to develop and deploy the short/long-term supplier management strategy.

  • Collaborating with engineering teams and suppliers to solve engineering issues, leading and driving proactive supply development activities (not limited to supplier-caused or design-caused issues).

  • Develop or adopt best engineering practices for industrialization at suppliers for post-launch sustaining activities

  • Mentoring and growing team, implementing development plans for high-potential direct reports.

  • Engage and influence site leadership and other stakeholders in the business.

  • Address supply issues with a high sense of urgency and with the proper rigor.

  • Maintenance of department budget and resource allocation.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Master's Degree preferred).

  • You have acquired 5+ years of experience as a people leader with a medical device company.

  • You've spent at least 7-10 years in manufacturing engineering, Quality, research & development.

  • Strong communication skills

  • You have hands-on Lean Six Sigma experience.

  • You've been responsible for multisite operations .

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive, and Environmental job requirements

  • You are available to work on-site 3-4 days/ week and have a local residence

  • Professional competencies Influencing without direct authority, such as collaboration, negotiation, conflict resolution

  • Functional competencies, including Change management, Project management, APQP Process and Deliverables, ISO13485/9001/FDA, Quality Control Toolkit (Pareto, SPC, etc.), Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), Supplier Assessment and DfX Continuous Improvement
