Philips Internship: Operational Material Management in Best, Netherlands

Start date: As soon as possible, no later than Q1 2025.

Duration: at least 6 months, we prefer students able to extend.

Type: Thesis support possible.

Weekly presence in hours: 40 hours

In this internship assignment you will be working closely together with the Operational Material Management team, but also Procurement Engineers from the business unit and Supplier Account Managers and many suppliers of Factory Best.

Your role

  • Gathering relevant information on problems, identifying gaps, and proposing corrective actions

  • Prepare for and support in the Daily Management operating rhythms of the organization and the weekly KPI report outs

  • Support on material inflow activities

  • Support on inventory monitoring activities

  • Support on material processes in the factory

You’re the right fit if

  • Currently studying towards your University Bachelor or Master in Sciences in Supply Chain Management

  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills (team player)

  • Proactive attitude, able to work independently

  • Willingness to further develop analytical and intellectual capabilities

  • Fluent in oral and written English

IMPORTANT:

Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue Assessment. We are not able to correspond the outcome of this HireVue Assessment but will use this as an extra selection criterion.

Our intern remuneration package:

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you perform a part-time internship, you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips products at our Philips shop
