- Provides services including child behavioral health assessments, individualized care plans in collaboration with the teaching staff (as applicable), individualized and/or group therapeutic interventions with an emphasis on play, art, and music to three Child Development Centers during Centers' hours of operation.2. Provides consultation, training, and assistance to Child Development Center staff and works collaboratively with teaching staff to incorporate therapeutic activities into weekly/monthly Early Childhood Education program schedules.3. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in providing short and long-term counseling services as well as stabilization and support services to children and families needing specializedbehavioral health services. May provide case management services. Seeks appropriate consultation with Child Development Center staff and parents/guardians as needed. 4. Helps assess children with challenges/special needs by participating in activities in various classrooms and assists with coaching/modeling interactions to staff5. May provide support groups and psychosocial educational groups to children and parents/guardians.6. Knowledgeable about community resources and links clients to appropriate resources. Advocates on behalf of clients in order to ensure access to services for which the client is eligible.7. Maintains up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by Agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies.8. Handles all client complaints as well as crisis situations in consultation with supervisory chain and in compliance with Agency/programmatic policies and procedures and treats each case with sensitivity and expedience9. Must be fluent in English and Spanish to provide language interpretation for clients with limited English proficiency.
