Job Description
Location: Close to Berlin and East Holmes
8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (3 days/Week)
Child Residential Center (CRC)
*Start Date & Salary: TBD *
Objectives of this role
- Provide instructional reinforcement of electronic courseware.
- Serve as a positive, nurturing guide for students
Facilitate and monitor students academic progress
- Model the school's professional and ethical standards when interacting with students and staff.
- Supervise students in both instructional and assessment activities.
- Participate in planning sessions with the learning team, communicating with Program Manager and school personnel.
Responsibilities
- Working with small groups of girls ages 14 to 18.
- Providing assistance and engagement in classroom activities
- Organize classroom and teaching materials/devices, and verify and track student attendance
- Perform clerical duties such as typing, filing, photocopying, and tracking student progress
- Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with students, program manager, and staff.
Required skills and qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience working with students and classroom management
- Effective communication skills with adults and children
- Proficient with computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Associate's degree (or equivalent) in education
- Certification in teaching
- Experience with special-needs students
