What do you contribute?

You will be technically responsible for global implementation projects that improve long-distance rail travel safety through cutting-edge signal technology based on the latest European Train Control System (ETCS) standards. #OneOBU

  • Lead projects focused on vehicle equipment, specifically Onboard Units, with project budgets ranging from tens to hundreds of millions.

  • Independently analyze customer requirements and assess their technical feasibility.

  • Define the system architecture and collaborate with both internal and external partners.

  • Create technical planning and proposal documents, and document technical claims and risk management.

  • Present your technical solution concepts, including ETCS and National Train Control Systems (NTCs), and clarify any further details.

  • Serve as the Technical Manager during the bidding phase.

  • Share the lessons learned from your projects, and others, with your team.

What do you bring along?

  • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering or a related field, forming the foundation of your success.

  • Extensive experience as a System Manager or Systems Engineer in railway technology, particularly in ETCS projects, development, or engineering.

  • Strong understanding of railway technology systems and expertise in technical requirements management.

  • Familiar with relevant standards and regulations, such as Cenelec and TSI.

  • Comfortable working in international environments and teams.

  • Very good command of English and German language.

  • Willing to travel for business (up to 20%).
