Summary of Position

Handle all related task to fulfilling “Repeat SPARS”

Prioritized and push commercialization activities of same

Serve as liaison between the customer, DSS, Tech Support, Customer Service, Engineering, Pricing and Operations, working directly with all supporting teams to ensure special customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner and documented for future process improvement.

Principal Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • End to End SPAR (Special Product Application Request) ownership – performing functional work required within scope

  • Provide status updates on special customer orders.

  • Embedded in the production floor and works in conjunction with Order Entry, Customer Service, Operations, Sales, Supply Chain, Department Team Leads and other line personnel to meet order fulfilment goals.

  • Attend Production meetings to review all open special orders as needed

  • Help Profit Centers prioritize special customer orders and solve scheduling problems.

  • Document and track reoccurring special orders and commercialize high volume sequence strings

  • Develop and review daily report of approved expedites to ensure order is shipping as committed to our customers. If the order is going to miss the ship date, work with supporting teams to ensure customer is notified and updated.

  • Ensure all stakeholders remain informed of upcoming complex or special orders and expedites.

  • Stay vigilant to foresee all variables that may impact on-time delivery and coordinate across multiple functions to solve problems.

  • Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that enhance the customer experience.

  • Assure order changes are processed on the production floor to ensure we are making product per customer’s requirements.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field preferred

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Experience with JDE a plus

  • Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, meet deadlines, manage risk

  • Excellent problem solver, correction to Root Cause

  • Effective communicator, verbal and written skills

  • Works well in either a small or global team environment.

  • Must have “can do” attitude with ability to work in the “gray”

  • Builds effective working relationships across the organization

  • Ability to interface with persons of multiple disciplines and job functions

  • Highly motivated and self-driven

  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and conscientious.
