The Boeing F-22 Program is looking for a Software Safety Engineer (Associate & Mid-Level) to join our Sustainment and Modernization team in Berkeley, MO . This is an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects and advance your career in the aviation engineering field. Position Responsibilities:
Support hardware and software change reviews
Provide support for our internal software certification process
Perform hazard tracking and risk resolution via System/Subsystem Hazard Analysis
Conduct safety assessments and technical safety memos, including: Engineering Review Boards, Enhancement Projects, address aircraft safety concerns, and track safety critical items.
Maintenance and development of Aviation Critical Safety Item (ACSI) list
Support System Safety Working Groups
Support fleet incidents and mishap investigations
Be comfortable briefing all levels of management, program office, and USAF personnel
Support the F-22 for any and all aircraft/software safety concerns
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience with software certification processes and standards, such as DO-178C or similar, and experience supporting internal software certification activities
Experience in a role that required strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively brief and collaborate with various stakeholders, including management, program offices, and military personnel
Experience in a role that required strong analytical skills to evaluate complex systems and identify potential safety issues
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.) (Mid-Level Level 3)
Experience working effectively in a team environment
Strong commitment to innovation and a proven track record of achieving success

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $81,600- $110,400
Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $97,750- $132,250
