Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $35 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Hours: 5X8's
Read and follow assembly and testing instructions step by step, recording results as they are achieved
Build electrical control panels using schematic and wiring diagrams
Install and label various sensors using P&ID
Maintain clean and organized workstations and work areas throughout the day
Maintain PPE discipline and tool safety at all times
Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical certification in electrical program or comparable experience with electrical systems
Proficiency in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment, machinery, and systems in compliance with relevant codes and safety standards
Collaboration with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate work activities, share information, and resolve issues effectively
Understanding of electrical circuits, components, and systems, including AC/DC theory, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
Ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and drawings to perform tasks effectively and maintain accurate records of work performed
Adherence to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment, including lockout/tagout, arc flash safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage Bonus Certifications and skills
OSHA 30 hour training
Forklift training certificate a plus
Aptitude to manage parts
Innate understanding of materials
Relevant fields Technical school students and graduates
Electrical technician in manufacturing, Construction (electrical technicians work on residential and commercial), Telecommunications electrical technician
This position requires physical activities including climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, crouching to work on equipment, operating machinery and occasionally lifting and carrying loads up to 50 lbs
