Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District Special Education Occupational Therapist in Bergland, Michigan
The Gogebic-Ontonagon ISD is seeking applicants for a Special Education Occupational Therapist.
Required Credentials: Occupational Therapy Certification/licensure, approved through the Michigan Department of Education. Meets requirements of R340.1792 of the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education.
Qualifications:
- Ability to organize and maintain documentation and meet all deadlines associated therein.
- Ability to screen and evaluate children referred for special education.
- Provide direct services and collaborative consultation for students qualifying for special education programs and services.
- Ability to address obstacles and constraints in a positive manner.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively and courteously with staff, students, families and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement research-based interventions, supports, and therapy designed to address IEP goals and objectives.
- Provide therapy that results in educational benefits for students qualifying for special education.
- Collaborate and coordinate inclusionary practices with all GOISD and LEA administration and staff.
- Complete student assessments to maintain student growth documentation and use for IEP preparation and implementation.
Compensation: Per the terms of the GOISDEA Master Agreement
