What you'll do...

The Walmart Enterprise Productivity team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III to join our IT team. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and support of our Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange2019, Microsoft Office, and Proofpoint e-mail archival environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and optimizing enterprise-level systems and infrastructure, with an emphasis on ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

About the Enterprise Productivity Team :

As part of the Enterprise Productivity Team, we handle the management of over 1.3 million mailboxes, the deployment of Microsoft Office, and various M365 related applications. Working with us means collaborating with a group of knowledgeable engineers who extend their support to fellow associates, and are committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive work environment. What You'll Do:

  • Design, Implement, and Manage: Assist in creating the design, implementation, and ongoing management of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office environments.

  • System Administration: Perform advanced system administration tasks, including but not limited to configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 applications, Exchange 2019, Office, and Proofpoint archival platforms.

  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention in repetitive tasks.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements to optimize the performance of Microsoft systems.

  • Disaster Recovery: Develop, maintain , and testing of disaster recovery plans for Microsoft systems, ensuring rapid recovery and minimal downtime.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless integration and support for all IT infrastructure components.

  • User Support: Provide Tier 3 support for complex issues related to Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Office, working closely with helpdesk and other support teams.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Project Management: Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.

What You'll Bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office.

  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Exchange Online, or similar are highly preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange 2019, and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.

  • Familiarity with cloud services and hybrid environments.

  • Experienced in utilizing and analyzing of networking troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark/ Netmon , Fiddler, and Charles Proxy.

  • Deployment of applications using Intune and SCCM

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
