Job Description

A large global retailer is seeking a Support Engineer with extensive experience in DevOps, SRE, or Production Support roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting microservice and frontend-based architectures, cloud technologies, and containerization. This role involves ensuring system reliability, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support for microservice and frontend-based architectures

Utilize knowledge in programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, or Ruby

Apply practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum)

Leverage expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Work with event-driven architectures using Kafka

Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and address the underlying causes of incidents

Implement and maintain monitoring solutions (preferably Splunk and Grafana) to ensure system reliability and performance

Collaborate with development teams to integrate deployment pipelines

Work with non-relational databases, such as Cosmos DB

Implement best practices for continuous improvement and operational excellence

Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and incident reports

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management

Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Production Support roles

Understanding and support of microservice and frontend-based architectures

Knowledge in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Ruby)

Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum)

Expertise in any cloud technology (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Experience in working with event-driven architectures (Kafka)

Extensive hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes

Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Exposure to implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions (preferably Splunk and Grafana)

Proficiency in working with non-relational databases, such as CosmosDB

Ability to implement best practices for continuous improvement and operational excellence

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams Exposure and experience in working on Retail & POS domains null
