What you'll do:
Optical services support local communities with eye exams and medical needs in select locations. These offices are conveniently located within or adjacent to Walmart retail locations that sell both glasses and contacts. The Product Manager, Optometry will own the product roadmap for Walmart's Optometry operations. This role will create digital products to support clinicians, non-clinical staff and customer self-service applications in-clinic and online. Key responsibilities include:
Define digital and in-person customer/clinician experiences and required capabilities alongside a world-class team of designers and researchers.
Develop technical product specifications for the architecture of underlying platform components for various areas of functionality (for example: identity, content management and payment processing) by using artifacts such as systems flows, product requirement documents and logical data models.
Manage vendor relationships and identify emerging technology platforms, evaluating and selecting vendors, supporting agreement negotiations; managing partner integrations; and securing necessary engagement and resource alignment for the creation of co-developed product features
Coordinate post-launch activities to validate that the product works as designed and that acceptance was successful
Collaborate closely with stakeholders from across the business including doctor relations, legal/compliance, training, third party technology suppliers and many others to identify associate/customer problems that guide compelling solutions
Deliver the product strategy for improving existing and new functionality that supports core optometry services and expanded digital offerings
Develop and evangelize product roadmaps, and gain buy-in from executive leadership
Champion data and insights. Define crisp key metrics, hypothesize, build, measure and learn to continuously inform the product direction
Work alongside user research, design, and engineering teams to turn high level requirements into tightly defined technology solutions and actionable deliverables
Drive day-to-day progress with your team by keeping requirements documents up to date and the backlog continuously groomed
Help build out our omni platform for optical retail by collaborating closely with enterprise teams in areas such as item catalog, search, returns and payments
Qualifications:
Experience writing product requirement documents (PRD), detailing UX requirements, writing user journey definitions, and detailing high level design requirements using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Experience analyzing customer impact to measure Net Promoter Score, Retention, Loyalty, and Churn using one of the following: Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or Google Analytics
Demonstrated knowledge of client-side architecture and development processes including UX, Technical Development, Systems Architecture, Quality Assurance Testing and Release
At least 2 years experience in building product capabilities where a retail associate or clinician is your end user delivering services to a patient or customer
Working knowledge of consumer health care and key considerations across legal /compliance, safety and quality landscape
Ability to influence and communicate to advocate for your product with partner teams balancing enterprise level needs. This includes communicating clearly, influencing project plans, getting buy-in from leadership, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
You'll sweep us off our feet if...
You are a seasoned product owner who can run products end-to-end independently, while collaborating effectively with clinical, business, engineering, UX design/research and other stakeholders
You have experience working with providers or payors in the health care space in a product, design, business or tech capacity and have experience building mobile and web products that delight users to drive measurable user outcomes.
You are obsessed with the customer you work backwards from wants and needs towards simple solutions; quantify value to consumers, partners, and internal stakeholders; and use research and data to improve products and processes
You are excited about solving very complex challenges and can create structure amidst ambiguity
You are scrappy but do not sacrifice quality - you have a test-and-learn mentality and an agile way of working cross-functionally and collaboratively to improve your team's products
You'll make an impact by:
Developing and enhancing products - you will manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks
Defining vision and strategies for your product family, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and approving objectives
Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership
Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
