Walmart Senior Specialist, Skilled Facilities Maintenance Journeyman Electrician in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures by followingestablished preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines; inspecting, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment, or fixtures; observing anddocumenting signs of wear and tear; gathering capital expense information; recommending repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs;determining replacement needs; and documenting preventive maintenance activities.Performs major and minor repairs on facilities, equipment, or fixtures and oversees work of junior-level associates by determining scopes of work forprojects; acting as a job foreman on assigned work sites; utilizing multiple craft skills (for example, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handlingequipment, food equipment); inspecting, operating, or testing facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues; dismantling equipment, machines,or facilities to access and remove defective parts; diagnose problems utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizinghand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment; providing prompt response to emergency calls; documenting repair activities; evaluatingtechnicians' skill sets; providing on-site training sessions; performing on-site repairs for hands-on learning; and ensuring completed work meets orexceeds quality, safety, and code requirements.Ensures financial sustainability and manages work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors by completing and providing required written andelectronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, maintenance logs); conducting price comparison of parts andtravel related costs; ordering parts and replacement equipment and tracking orders; recording purchases and usage; managing parts inventory;reviews journals and invoices; compiling and reporting budget information; submitting warranty claims; complying with Occupational Safety andHealth Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations and guidelines; ensuring quality work is completed thatcomplies with federal, state, and local regulations; developing relationships with local parts suppliers and contractors; ensuring contractors followWalmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements; identifying and reporting deficiencies; unloading and storingequipment; and transporting equipment between facilities.Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders;supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability forand measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promotingcontinuous learning.Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; andensuring diversity awareness.Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity byimplementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executingbusiness processes and practices. Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00-$45.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 7 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or

related trade or 9 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.

Valid Driver's License.

Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

2 year's experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word,

Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
