Walmart Senior Manager, Value Based Care in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Manages the resolution of Value Based Care (VBC) issues by reviewing data. Determines needed solutions that fit local VBC needs and can be leveraged across an assigned region. Follows up with stakeholders to obtain information on unresolved VBC issues. Collaborates with crossfunctional teams regarding support for VBC solutions.

Leads the development, definition, and implementation of VBC training programs, including training initiated internally or by external stakeholders.

Develops and delivers training relevant to population health and VBC payer models.

Enhances learner experiences by ensuring environments are conducive to learning. Engages subject-matter experts to develop practical application scenarios. Guides associate performance and behavior during learning courses. Gathers feedback and reviews learning results. Researches, compiles, and analyzes data to recommend learning program and operational process enhancements. Remains current on course materials and facilitation best practices. Implements program improvements to course content to ensure learning objectives are met. Oversees the maintenance and upkeep of training equipment and resources.

Provides and supports the implementation of training solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. Identifies training needs. Identifies and executes necessary training processes and practices. Monitors progress and results. Recognizes and capitalizes on improvement opportunities. Adapts to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Delivers VBC content and courses by applying adult learning techniques and blended delivery methods. Rehearses course content prior to delivery. Communicates policies, guidelines, company expectations, and culture. Observes participant engagement during courses. Answers questions related to course content and concept application. Gathers feedback on courses. Leads and/or serves on a variety of internal and external committees to represent Population Health. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, business administration, economics, industrial engineering, or related area.

Three years' experience in the management of population health-related programs, such as health system management, health plans, or public health.

Prior work experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial value-based payment models.

Prior work experience in project or program management, including program/project development and implementation.

Two years' management/supervisory experience.
