The Senior Manager, Automation Engineering - Design is responsible for establishing next generation solutions (machines, processes, workstations, etc., automated, and manual) for use within the extended Walmart Store fulfillment to improve customer experience, business demand and cost to serve. The goal for this role is to proactively engage and collaborate with cutting edge technology and look for opportunities to leverage their strengths to support our fulfillment needs in new and innovative ways.

You will report to the Director, Automation Engineering. This is an onsite role based in Bentonville, Arkansas; a full relocation package is available, but we are not considering remote candidates at this time.

What you'll do...

• Lead the technical research and design of next generation technologies to support the growth of the store fulfillment network. Lead the technical assessment of potential automation solutions and assist with the selection, use and application of automated processes

• Lead and grow the capabilities of an organization of mechanical, electrical, industrial, pneumatic, controls, robotic and software (IT/WMS) engineers. This may include individuals located in Hoboken, Bentonville, San Bruno and in Fulfillment Centers (FCs) throughout the Walmart extended network

• Ensure that technical assistance is provided to the Program Managers, General Managers (GMs), operations team leaders and maintenance personnel through the implementation, start-up and operation of new automation as needed. Provide training and assistance in writing Standard Operating Practices (SOPs), establishing Lean methodologies, maintenance and service procedures, parameter settings, etc., as needed

• Provide leadership and guidance to all individuals as needed sharing experience and broad knowledge of industry technologies, equipment, and material handling solutions as well as lean process flow and continuous improvement tools, to break barriers and unlock the potential of the Engineering Organization

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 6

years' experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.

2 years' supervisory experience.
