What You'll Do:

Understands the use or application of core assessment criteria and selection techniques (for example, behavioral interviews). Uses incisive interview questions to assess talent based on the defined criteria and requirements of the business. Gathers information on how to improve the accuracy and efficiency of selecting and assessing the right candidates.

Identifies and researches common channels (for example, job boards, social media platforms, professional associations, referrals) for building diverse functional pools of talent. Understands hiring needs and future skill requirements within a functional model and participates in gathering targeted intelligence (internal/external) to build a proactive, innovative sourcing/recruitment strategies. Organizes and uses previous/historical data to diagnose and derive trends and insights to identify and attract top talent. Understands the internal and external marketplace and competitive environment for assigned functional pools. Prepares for intake calls with insight and research to help drive stakeholder conversations. Demonstrates a basic understanding of productivity tools, including spreadsheet pivot tables and Avature people lists.

Support assigned projects; understand business needs; identify project requirements, monitor progress vs. plan and adhere to prioritization &milestones. Propose solutions and assist in their development; recognize and capitalize on improvement opportunities. Make decisions based on facts; weigh the pros and cons; and be able to explain the reasoning behind decisions. Ensure resolution of critical issues and escalate complex or difficult issues. Participate in agile sprints; demonstrate awareness of agile working principles and practices (Kanban method); leverage basic tools like JIRA to update and track sprints and identifies and understands documents and reports used by agile.

Demonstrates a functional knowledge of the business unit/organization being supported at a foundational level. Understands the impacts of decisions on day-to-day work and how decisions connect with business processes, systems, and tools.

Identifies cross-functional stakeholders and partners to collect data needed to diagnose and describe talent and strategy impacts. Understands tools and technologies available to understand data, identifies data sources, and assess downstream impacts. Recommends/proposes manual data work activities (extraction/customization) that can be automated.

Understands customer needs, customer desires, and process gaps. Addresses pain points through technology-enabled solutions that improve customer satisfaction. Incorporates Walmart's values through the entire hiring lifecycle, from attraction to conversion and onboarding.

Demonstrates accountability for hiring timelines, recruiting processes, and assessment results. Guides customers through the decision-making process and provides closure to hiring processes. Solicits feedback on the quality of services provided by the organization. Implements adjustments to daily interactions using customer-centric approaches.

Solicits associate satisfaction feedback and acts on improvement opportunities. Builds long-term relationships to source additional feedback on user experiences and informs the creation of customized solutions. Supports the development of appropriate solutions aligned to identified associate needs and requirements. Provides guidance on shaping human-centered solutions aligned with the future of the workforce. Simplifies and improves processes to reduce turnaround times, increase effectiveness, and drive associate satisfaction.

Understands and anticipates business needs. Works with a variety of business leaders to understand where the business is going and how talent strategies can align. Manages and drives targeted, long-range recruitment strategies, diagnoses necessary skills, and demonstrates a deep understanding of the market and how to engage talent. Tracks and engages hiring prospects, focusing on effectively bringing the best talent into the pipeline. Leverages different tools to source talent, understands sourcing channel effectiveness, and drives differentiated business outcomes. Proactively manages a diverse talent pipeline through warm leads and the execution of sourcing strategies. Consults business leaders on potential converts influences outcomes by providing a clear point of view on talent prospects, candidate fits, and bargaining power. Negotiates results that drive win-win outcomes for the business and candidates. Demonstrates a deep understanding of total rewards features (for example, equity terms, relocation benefits, bonuses) to recommend trade-offs/compromises and uses diplomacy and sound judgment to get everyone to "yes." Identifies process gaps and recommends and implements solutions that increase process efficiencies across the recruiting organization. Participates in agile sprints for large projects using agile working process. Provides views of current backlogs, incoming requests, and capacity planning through prioritization. Identifies and recommends specific agile measurements and uses in project management.

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
