Wells Enterprises Senior Analyst, Private Walmart Brands in Bentonville, Arkansas

The Senior Analyst, Private Walmart Brands provides support to Walmart Private Brands Team Lead and Walmart sales team through data analysis and insight development to identify growth opportunities, develop annual sales plans & budgets and build business understanding across both internal organization and with customer using a general manager mindset. Responsible for supporting Wells Walmart U.S. Private Brands and International business with tools, analytics, and communications development for both customer and internal Wells team. Additionally, this role will be a bridge of communication between Walmart sales team and internal Master Data Management, Demand Planning, Supply, Production Planning, R&D, Project Management Commercialization, Finance, Business Analytics, and Marketing groups to help enable alignment across key initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyzes account, competitive, and consumer trend data to identify growth opportunities and risks and develops insights around what desired outcome and next steps should be based on information learned. Identifies gaps and opportunities within Walmart and provides accurate and actionable data-based sell stories to Team Lead and Walmart sales team for opportunity planning and risk mitigation.

  • Analyzes account, competitive, and consumer trend data to identify growth opportunities and risks and develops insights around what desired outcome and next steps should be based on information learned. Identifies gaps and opportunities within Walmart and provides accurate and actionable data-based sell stories to Team Lead and Walmart sales team for opportunity planning and risk mitigation.

  • Partnering with Product Data Management to ensure Walmart distribution lists remain up-to-date at all times across Walmart systems, including but not limited to ProSpec, TraceGains, Merieux, TraceGains, NutriSciences, and e-Halo

  • Requesting capacity confirmation from internal teams for both domestic and international new item requests and innovation development, providing data-based volume estimates when needed

  • Commercialization budget creation and spend tracking with third party suppliers required for approval by Walmart such as SunBrand and sensory testing

  • Management of new item sensory approval from customer, including but not limited to requesting new items to be shipped to Walmart sales team for customer sensory approval and Walmart photography, tracking and ensuring on-time receipt of shipments and requesting new samples when necessary, receiving and verifying sample quality post-shipment, coordinating and managing hand-delivery customer drop-off to ensure quality for sensory cuttings and participating in cutting meetings with customer as required.

  • Product/item management – transitioning to finished good number and managing flow through of inventory

  • Provides monthly review, sales forecasting, annual/long-term planning support and ad-hoc analysis for Walmart U.S. and International. Creates and updates reporting and utilizes multiple data sources and business expertise, post-event and project analysis, and ROI analysis to provide requested data. Populates data and business drivers as needed in presentations and for email updates, including a recap summary and commentary of the insight gained from the report in addition to the data report shows. Provides support during presentations as needed. Assists with financial reviews and P&L support.

  • Partner with the Walmart sales team and Wells internal teams to aid in entering key metrics and information into internal and customer tools, helping to complete customer templates and new item, facility, and other customer required forms, and provide contract support. Ensures timely completion of customer data entry requirements for Private Brands by managing the update of technical information & specifications, working with Product Data Management & Regulatory teams on timely completion.

  • Expected to be strongly connected with the supported project manager and data management team by participating and providing updates in business project meetings, customer calls, cross functional initiative teams, etc. Expected to schedule, coordinate and lead meetings and drive progress against assigned projects and initiatives to ensure timely delivery for customer and Wells.

  • Provide product attributes to Walmart for ecomm updates, following up regularly to ensure accuracy of updates and partnering with Walmart contacts on items with content scores below Walmart required target.

  • Coordinates with internal cross-functional teams to understand Wells key initiatives and communicate customer key initiatives, and be an objective, fact-based voice in decision making process. Mines data and insights, creating concise stories for internal teams and customer based on key overlaps between Wells and Walmart initiatives that will drive growth opportunities for the category and consumer.
