Walmart Senior Analyst, Energy Development in Bentonville, Arkansas

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Supports the site development process through collaboration with development partners, stakeholders (internal and external), engineers, and consultants through project evaluation, financial evaluation, project development and design stages.

Supports the evaluation of market strategies and project feasibility, supporting the analysis of specific energy market dynamics, project economics, regulations, risks, permitting requirements, and timing.

Leverage knowledge of local energy markets, investment analysis, pro forma modeling/analysis, project development, risk and spend mitigation, and commercial negotiations to devise energy solutions that align with stakeholder needs.

Plans and supports the acceleration of the deployment of energy infrastructure.

Continually updates knowledge on changing regulatory requirements and industry practices while taking ownership to ensure all safety requirements are met.

Proactively scouts for relevant opportunities that allow for continuous process improvement and standardization. Conducts thorough analysis of current processes, identifying inefficiencies and formulating strategies to streamline them.

Provide recommendations on how to improve project economics.

Provide a structured vision of risks, including evaluation of relevant sensitivities and recommending mitigating factors.

Working with development partners and resources to ensure financial model assumptions are complete and correct.

Support the team and/or take the lead on the preparation of investment memos and support the presentation of such memos to investment committees.

Lead reporting on project development and pipeline progress.

Support the organization and management of virtual data rooms.

Qualifications: Prior work in EV/ and or distributed generation (DG) solar and/or BESS development projects. Project management experience in the solar/ energy industry

  • Option 1: Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or related area.Option 2: 1 years' experience in an energy project development.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel, and PowerPoint

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00-$110,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
