First level management directly managing Sales Engineers for one of Zebra's largest key Retail accounts. Attains results within Zebra management policies and practices. Personal objectives typically defined as a "roll-up" of all sales resources reporting to them. Generally considered an excellent coach, helping others attain sales success. Technical skills far beyond criteria listed and gets others on the same track. Understands product portfolio extremely well and knows how to win relative to competition; teaches others same. As with all management, embodies One Zebra ahead of personal achievements.

Qualified applicants must reside near/around Bentonville, Arkansas with the ability to work a hybrid schedule during the week (2 days remote/3 days in-office) and the ability to travel as business dictates ( 25%). No relocation assistance will be provided.

  • Knowledge of Zebra - Helps create Business/Industry products/services strategy, often crossing multiple businesses

  • Sales Skills - Leads teams in development of advanced solution selling concepts and partnership creation; proven sales success only

  • Managerial Skills - Full knowledge of all relevant business policies and practices; strong ability to energize and lead others

  • Business Acumen - Conducts root cause analysis and improves long term profitability in a variety of situations; a S.W.O.T. expert; anticipates future customer needs

  • Market/customer Knowledge - Applies both strategic and tactical understanding of markets to ensure Zebra wins in the marketplace

  • Solution Complexity/Strategic Thinking

  • Nature of Problems Solved - Solves complex problems which may require unique solutions which are used across geographies, industries, etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent experience

  • 8 + years in a related technical pre-sales role (Sales Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solution Architect, Pre-Sales Engineer)

  • Must possess management experience if external, willing to be flexible on management experience for internal applicants

  • Must reside near/around Bentonville, Arkansas with the ability to work a hybrid schedule during the week (2 days remote/3 days in-office) and the ability to travel as business dictates ( 25%)

    Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with large complex customers in the Retail vertical a strong differentiator.

  • Exposure to products/offerings similar to Zebra a strong plus.

  • Leading teams and developing sales engineering talent a strong preference.

  • In depth understanding of advanced solution selling concepts and methodologies.

  • Ability to communicate and align people within the organization, gaining the cooperation of those who may be needed to influence the creation of teams and coalitions that understand the corporate vision and strategies, and accept their validity.

  • Strong ability to drive results by energizing and leading others.

  • Ability to establish clear objectives and direction for team.

  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.

  • Excellent conflict resolution and team building skills.

  • Excellent communication skills to assist at the customer management interface level, including negotiation and presentation skills.

  • In-depth understanding and experience in providing strategic leadership to presales technical managers and their teams.

  • Full knowledge of all relevant business policies and practices.

  • Has knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications.

  • Thorough competitive knowledge including solutions, technology and product offerings.

  • Creates business and industry solutions strategy, often crossing multiple lines of business.

  • Possesses a solid knowledge and experience of customer management practices.

  • Leads problem resolution, identifies appropriate resources, mitigates future risk.

Salary: USD 139800.00 - USD 209800.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
