Description
Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an entry-level Machine Learning Specialist to join our team on-site in either Bentonville, Arkansas or Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The ideal candidate should be passionate about pursuing practical solutions to complex problems, driven by supporting modeling system development to aid in real-world government and military operations. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, structure and organize data efficiently, and provide team members with reliable code and analyses.
What you’ll do as a Junior Machine Learning Specialist:
Develop and deploy scalable machine learning models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning solutions into existing systems
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify patterns and trends, informing data-driven decision making
Actively participate in the writing of proposals and requests for information in the areas of AI/ML and related business development activities
Required qualifications:
Willingness to relocate to Bentonville, Arkansas or Baton Rouge, Louisiana
US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years’ experience or high school diploma with 6-8 years’ experience
Proficiency in Python
Working knowledge of popular machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
Demonstrated skills in computer vision and machine learning for real world applications
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
Proven excellent attention to detail
Demonstrated high degree of organization
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
Co-author of publications in the artificial intelligence/machine learning field
Proficiency in R and Julia
Extensive knowledge related to decision networks
Working knowledge in the area of signal processing
Experience in quantum computing
